ROS Sports has recently released two packages for the RoboCup SPL league:
- GameController SPL - Provides a ROS 2 pub/sub interface to communicate with the GameController
- Robot2Robot SPL - Provides a ROS 2 pub/sub interface to communicate with robots on your own team (using SPL Standard Messages)
These packages are released in all active ROS 2 distributions, and can be installed with
apt install. It will be actively maintained and be updated for every upcoming RoboCup competition (for all distributions!).
Both packages include a set of nicely written instructions for installation and usage to get you started. Check out this SPL forum post for more information. We will be looking forward to any feedback / contributions from SPL teams!
